See and hear the stories behind the hits songs, performed by the award-winning songwriters who wrote them — songs that have been recorded by chart-topping artists in all genres of music.

The Town of Mooresville is proud to present an intimate evening of story and song with the “Heroes Behind the Hits.” 

Inspired by the world-famous Bluebird Cafe located in Nashville, this special  "Songwriters-In-The-Round" program comes to the Town of Mooresville  for a one night engagement.

Byron Hill

Byron Hill has written songs for over 78 Gold and Platinum albums by a long list of iconic artists including Ray Charles, Jason Aldean, Kenny Rogers, Don Williams, Joe Nichols, Randy Travis, Keith Whitley, Trace Adkins, Dionne Warwick, George Jones, Toby Keith, Gene Watson, Porter Wagoner, Reba McEntire, Clint Eastwood, Brooks & Dunn and Conway Twitty, including the hits “Fool Hearted Memory,”“Born Country” and many, many more. 



Jon Mabe

Nashville songwriter - producer Jon Mabe is best known for having written the global mega-hit song, “The Climb” for Miley Cyrus (from the blockbuster film, Hannah Montana: The Movie).  As Creative Director at EMI Music, Jon worked with some the industry’s biggest names, such as Phil Vassar, Black Hawk, Mark Chesnutt and Brad Paisley. As a songwriter, his hits include cuts by Ronnie Milsap, Chuck Wicks, Danielle Peck, Little Big Town and more. 


Rockie Lynne

Songwriter Rockie Lynne was signed to a major recording contract with Universal Records, is an artist in his own right, having had four top-40 hits and television appearances on ABC’s “Good Morning America” “Fox and Friends” and The Grand Ole Opry “Live.” His original compositions have been recorded by The Oak Ridge Boys, Steve Wariner, among others, and have appeared in numerous TV and film productions, including the CBS Prime-time crime drama, “Criminal Minds” and Fox “NFL Sunday.”
